Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Playwright, modern test automation frameworks, and AI-powered testing solutions. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automated test suites to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of web applications.

The ideal candidate should have experience integrating AI capabilities into software testing workflows, improving test coverage, reducing flaky tests, and accelerating test automation through intelligent testing tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
• Perform UI, functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks using TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python.
• Implement cross-browser testing across Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Use AI-powered testing tools for test case generation, test maintenance, failure analysis, and defect detection.
• Explore Generative AI and LLM-based solutions to improve test automation efficiency.
• Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and reduce flaky tests.
• Develop API automation tests and validate backend integrations.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams in Agile environments.
• Prepare test reports, track defects, and maintain test documentation.
• Monitor automation coverage, execution time, defect leakage, and overall test effectiveness.

Required Technical Skills Playwright Automation

• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python.
• Experience with locators, assertions, fixtures, hooks, and page object models.
• Knowledge of Playwright Test Runner, parallel execution, retries, and tracing.
• Experience with browser contexts, authentication, network interception, and test data management.

Automation Frameworks

• Experience designing reusable and maintainable automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of Page Object Model (POM), data-driven testing, and modular test design.
• Experience with Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools.

AI-Powered Testing

• Experience with AI-assisted test case generation and automation maintenance.
• Familiarity with LLMs such as GPT or Claude for generating test scenarios, scripts, and test data.
• Understanding of prompt engineering and structured outputs for test generation.
• Knowledge of AI-based failure analysis, test prioritization, and intelligent locator strategies.
• Experience integrating AI APIs into testing workflows is an advantage.

Additional Skills

• API testing using Playwright APIRequestContext, Postman, or REST clients.
• SQL and database validation.
• Basic knowledge of performance testing and security testing.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and defect tracking tools such as Jira.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI testing platforms such as mabl, Testim, or other intelligent automation tools.
• Exposure to Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), LLM evaluation, or AI application testing.
• Experience testing AI-powered applications, including hallucination checks, prompt-injection scenarios, and output validation.
• Familiarity with Docker, cloud environments, and test execution at scale.

The ideal candidate combines strong QA fundamentals and hands-on Playwright automation with practical experience using AI to improve test design, execution, analysis, and maintenance. Candidates with experience validating AI/LLM-powered applications will have an added advantage.
