About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in acute adult oncology, specializing in leukemia and lymphoma in an inpatient setting. License: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Chemo Certification. Must-Have Skills: - IV insertion - Phlebotomy - Basic nursing skills - Acute adult oncology experience - Specialization in leukemia and lymphoma Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient needs. Identifies patient needs and prioritizes care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Develops, implements, and coordinates individualized plans of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments. Initiates assessments based on the patient’s problems or needs and the physician’s medical diagnosis. Performs therapeutic nursing interventions. Manages the care of patients. Documents care based on standards of care, patient acuity, and clinical priorities. Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports the adoption of evidence-based practices in care delivery. Provides patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Weekends and holidays are required as needed. Floating may be required.
