We are seeking an experienced Millwright / Industrial Mechanic to join our team, specializing in electric motors and heavy machinery. The ideal candidate brings 5–7 years of hands-on experience installing, aligning, maintaining, and repairing industrial equipment, rotating assemblies, and electrical motor systems in a manufacturing, production, mining, heavy industrial, distribution, or processing environment. This role requires a strong troubleshooter who can read complex blueprints and schematics independently, precision-align rotating equipment, diagnose AC/DC motor and mechanical malfunctions, and resolve major equipment breakdowns with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Equipment Installation & Alignment: Install, align, and calibrate heavy industrial machinery, production lines, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and large electric motors using precision measuring tools (laser alignment tools, dial indicators, micrometers, straightedges, feeler gauges)
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine preventive maintenance and diagnose mechanical or electrical malfunctions in AC/DC motor systems, gearboxes, bearings, couplings, and pulleys
• Repair & Dismantling: Dismantle defective equipment, replace worn or broken mechanical and electrical components, and reassemble machinery to exact manufacturer specifications
• Fabrication & Rigging: Use welding, cutting, and fabrication tools alongside rigging equipment (cranes, hoists, chain falls, forklifts) to move and secure heavy mechanical loads safely
• Read and work independently from complex blueprints, schematics, and technical operation manuals to complete repairs and installations
• Diagnose major equipment breakdowns through a clear troubleshooting process — identifying the problem, determining root cause, completing the repair or replacement, and verifying the result
• Perform breakdown/corrective maintenance in addition to scheduled PM
• Assist with motor testing, balancing, and vibration analysis (as trained)
• Diagnose mechanical issues such as bearing failures, vibration, imbalance, and misalignment
• Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Assist with electrical troubleshooting and basic controls, including VFDs and sensors
• Follow LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), electrical safety, and all applicable OSHA/DOT safety procedures at all times
• Complete service reports and maintenance documentation
• Support emergency breakdown response as needed

Required Qualifications:

• 5–7 years of hands-on experience as a millwright, industrial mechanic, or electric motor technician
• Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing, production, mining, heavy industrial, distribution, or processing facility
• Proven ability to independently read and interpret complex blueprints, schematic diagrams, and technical operation manuals
• Hands-on experience with shaft/coupling alignment methods and tools (laser alignment, dial indicators, straightedge/feeler gauges, micrometers)
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic AC/DC electrical controls
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• High physical stamina, manual dexterity, and strict adherence to OSHA/DOT workplace health and safety guidelines
• Working knowledge of LOTO and industrial safety procedures

Working conditions

• Exposure to industrial environments, noise, and heavy equipment
• May require occasional overtime or on-call work for emergency breakdowns
• PPE required at all times
• May require travel to customer sites and occasional overtime or on-call work
