Ziegler Ag Equipment has an opening for a customer‑focused and ambitious sales professional to join our Ag Sales Team. The Ag Sales Account Manager is responsible for developing local customer relationships and selling products that fit their needs and operations. This person represents all of Ziegler Ag Equipment’s new product lines including, but not limited to, FENDT, Massey Ferguson, Gleaner, Brandt, Geringhoff, CAT, as well as Ziegler’s extensive used inventory. This position offers a competitive base salary with uncapped commission. Sales Account Managers are also provided with a company vehicle and the latest in business technology.Responsibilities:Promote and sell equipment to perspective and existing customersServe as a primary point of contact between customers and Ziegler Ag Equipment, ensuring a positive overall experienceBuild strong rapport with customers while maintaining an appropriate balance between personal and professional relationshipsAssist all of Ziegler walk‑in customers by responding to their needs promptly and professionallyCollaborate with the Ag Regional Sales Manager and other team members, including product specialists and manufacturer representatives, throughout the sales processMeet with assigned customers in person or on site to understand their operational needs and provide tailored product recommendationsPromptly follow up on all customer leads, requests, and inquiries.Prospect and engage with new customers on a regular basis to expand customer base and grow market shareCreate and deliver quotes, product information, and materials that support customer decision‑makingConduct machine presentations and demonstrations, ensuring customers clearly understand product capabilities and fit for their operationManage the sales process by asking effective questions, identifying customer needs, and actively listening to provide informed solutionsAccurately maintain customer information and all sales activities within the CRM systemPrepare and submit sales contracts accurately and in a timely mannerPlan and execute a pricing strategy that aligns with company policyMaintain a high level of knowledge regarding competitive products, industry trends, and competitor activityWork cooperatively with management and colleagues across departments to support a strong team‑selling environmentResolve customer issues both within and outside of the direct sales process, ensuring customer satisfaction and long‑term relationshipsMaintain strong relationships with key accounts to support ongoing business opportunitiesPromote all products, parts, and service offerings to customers based on their needsPresent a professional, neat, and clean personal appearance at all timesPlans ahead for customer calls, territory activities, and strategic selling opportunitiesQualifications:High school diploma or GED requiredBachelor’s degree preferred in business or agriculture-related fieldStrong agricultural background.Prior sales experience in ag equipment or related equipment is a plus.Strong mechanical aptitude.Excellent written, electronic, and verbal communication skills.Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, and CRM systems.Strong work ethic and the ability to act with a sense of urgency.Willingness and ability to operate equipment for demonstration purposes after proper training.Key personal characteristics: self-motivated, customer-focused, learning-oriented, considerate/empathic, confident, and a strong team player.Must have and maintain a clean driving record.Travel:Up to 50% travel; minimal overnight travel requiredMinimum Physical Requirements:Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing.Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor.
