Event Crew Supervisor - Las Vegas

POSITION SUMMARY

The person in this position is responsible for the supervision of part-time supervisors and field crews, overseeing all employees on their shifts ensuring that company policies are followed, safety guidelines are established and met and tasks are completed up to client standards to accomplish a successful event.

This is a full-time position. Hours will vary to include days, nights, weekends and holidays as determined by our event schedule.

Compensation: $70,000 - $75,000 annually, non-exempt (DOE)

Requirements

GENERAL ACCOUNTABLITIES

• Communicate with clients and address client needs professionally.
• Foster a safe working environment that is free from harassment and inappropriate behavior.
• Accountable for keeping track of field employee hours, ensuring all employees sign in and out of calls, and accurately completing timesheets while supervising shifts.
• Responsible for turning timesheets into the Scheduling Coordinator(s) by the specified deadline.
• Hold safety meetings before each shift and fill out the safety log form.
• Turn safety logs, write-ups, incident/accident reports, and other relevant paperwork into appropriate departments promptly.
• Direct field employees to complete specific tasks.
• Follow and enforce all Rhino policies and procedures consistently per the Rhino Employee Handbook.
• Oversee the completion of tasks during calls ensuring quality and safety.
• Responsible for filling out reports for onsite incidents, accidents and harassment.
• Address injured employees by filling out the corresponding paperwork on the job site and ensuring proper medical care is received, if necessary.
• Notify office and on-call staff when an employee does not show up for their call.
• Attend mandatory supervisor meetings as scheduled.
• Attend safety supervisor meetings as necessary.
• Attend office staff meetings as necessary.
• Attend training and certification courses as necessary.
• Assist with general office duties as appropriate and necessary.
• Assist with creating and implementing training classes.
• Assist in maintaining Job Hazard Analysis for venues.
• Aid in the management of safety equipment.
• Manage employee performance in the field by providing coaching, performance feedback and filling out/delivering Employee Warning Notice forms, when necessary and turning in the forms to the appropriate department promptly.
• Address field employee questions and concerns as necessary.
• Address disciplinary meetings with field employees as needed and requested.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

• Ability to effectively communicate by phone and in person with all levels of employees as well as outside contacts including employees of other Rhino locations, clients and potential clients in a professional manner.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret all necessary documentation.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to maintain composure in high stress environments and situations.
• Ability to comprehend and enforce all company policies.

• Ability to maintain billable hours on an annual average of work hours comparable to the yearly average of a 40-hour workweek total. The Regional Director and local Director of Operations designate target hours.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Capable of sitting or standing for prolonged periods while using a computer or participating in meetings.
• Able to walk and stand for extended durations, as well as bend, twist, stoop, kneel, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Prolonged use of computer screens for scheduling, tracking data, and communication.
• This position is subject to varying levels of travel as well as varying levels of noise, heat, and smoke when on the job site.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

· Our hiring process includes a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check. (We do not screen for marijuana.)

EDUCATION and JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Previous managerial or supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
• OSHA10 General Industry certification is required.
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
