Industrial Maintenance Technician Assistant

PrideStaff is working with a large manufacturing facility in search of an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician Assistant. Under general supervision, performs production floor support to fulfill orders based on a given PPS (Packaging Process Specification and support the Industrial Maintenance Department. Some duties involve work of a confidential nature which requires knowledge of the company's customers. The Industrial Maintenance Technician Assistant is a full-time, temporary to hire position in Brooklyn Park, MN.

Industrial Maintenance Technician Assistant Job Responsibilities:

• Attend any OJT (on-the-job training) required for each individual type of equipment used as part of your job. This includes meeting the minimum required hours of use for that equipment and being signed off by your trainer and manager. OJT sign off is a must before you are cleared to use the equipment.
• Read and understand the PPS for packaging instructions, material handling, and shipping procedures.
• Main responsibilities include drum change out, filling hoppers, safe handling of material as stated in the PPS and assist the industrial maintenance department with the following:
• Assist with cleaning pump parts
• Assist with line setup
• Weigh drums, pails and misc. items
• Assist in preventative maintenance
• Assist in pump assembly
• Support all general industrial maintenance duties which include breakdown, wipe down, cleaning, and reassembly of equipment as described in the PPS.
• Use equipment to load, unload, and move materials or products.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Perform any tasks and/or production duties as requested by supervisor(s) and/or management.
• Safety shoes (toe protection/slip resistant) and PPE must be worn at all times.

PrideStaff Hiring Requirements:

• High school graduate
• Minimum of one year of experience in the same or associated field.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English which the primary language is used in the workplace.
• Must be familiar with computers running the Windows operating system and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Mechanical skills required. Able to use hand and power tools.
• Scale and pallet jack experience preferred.
• Good communication skills required.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
• Must be able to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to work as a creative, flexible, innovative, and effective member of a team.
• Must be able to read, write legibly, count accurately, and perform simple math.
• Must be punctual with good attendance.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs., additional weight with assistance.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $20.00 Per Hour
