Job Summary: In this role, you will support hospital dietary and food service operations by maintaining clean and sanitized dishes, utensils, equipment, and work areas. The Dishwasher plays an important role in keeping the hospital kitchen operating efficiently while maintaining strict food safety and sanitation standards.

Pay/Schedule/Location/Benefits: Pay: $16.00 per hour Schedule: Full-time; rotating schedule, including rotating weekends (approximately every other weekend) Location: On-site at one of multiple hospital locations throughout the San Antonio area Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid vacation, PTO/personal days, and more.

Important Schedule Requirement: The schedule is not set and may change from week to week. Employees must be flexible and available to work different shifts based on the hospital's needs. You must be able to report to work as early as 6:00 a.m. and remain available as late as 8:009:00 p.m., depending on your assigned shift. This position requires rotating weekends, approximately every other weekend.

Dishwasher Duties: Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and food service equipment Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen, dishwashing, and food preparation areas Operate commercial dishwashing equipment according to safety procedures Remove trash and maintain appropriate sanitation throughout the work area Assist dietary staff with basic food service and kitchen duties as needed Follow hospital food safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures

Dishwasher Requirements: Must be authorized to work in the United States Must be able to reliably commute to work Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements, including a criminal background check and urinalysis drug test Must speak and read enough English to safely perform job duties and follow workplace instructions Must be available to work a rotating schedule, including approximately every other weekend Must be available for shifts beginning as early as 6:00 a.m. and ending as late as 8:009:00 p.m. Must be able to work in a fast-paced food service environment Must obtain or possess a National Texas Food Handler Certificate Must meet hospital immunization and health-screening requirements

Hospital Health & Immunization Requirements: MMR 1st and 2nd doses Varicella (chickenpox) 2 doses Tdap within the last 10 years Hepatitis B Flu shot or applicable exemption COVID-19 vaccination is not required One TB blood test or two TB skin tests within the last year
