Systems Administrator – Operational Technology Job Type: Full-Time | Location: On-site (Monks Corner, SC) Optomi, in partnership with a leading energy provider, is seeking a Systems Administrator of Operational Technology (OT) Infrastructure to support mission-critical operational technology environments. This engineer will administer Windows and Red Hat Linux infrastructure, support enterprise monitoring and security platforms, and help maintain highly available systems supporting critical utility operations. What the Right Candidate will Enjoy: Supporting critical infrastructure environments! Working on enterprise Windows and Linux systems! Modernizing monitoring and operational tooling! Exposure to OT infrastructure and NERC CIP environments! Experience of the Right Candidate: 4+ years administering Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Strong Active Directory administration experience. Enterprise networking fundamentals (switching, routing, DNS, TCP/IP). Experience supporting backup, endpoint protection, and infrastructure monitoring platforms. Experience with Veeam, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Tripwire, PRTG, or similar technologies. Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, Linux, virtualization, and infrastructure. Experience creating technical documentation and operational procedures. Previous experience in regulated or critical infrastructure environments is preferred. NERC CIP experience is a plus. Responsibilities of the Right Candidate: Administer Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments. Perform OS patching and lifecycle management. Support Active Directory administration. Troubleshoot server, application, and infrastructure issues. Support enterprise backup, monitoring, and endpoint security platforms. Deploy and maintain PRTG monitoring. Assist with switch replacements and infrastructure projects. Perform incident response and root cause analysis. Maintain operational documentation.
