Heavy Equipment Operator – Drive Precision Civil Sitework and Grow Your Career

Job Overview:

• Company: Landcore Builders LLC.
• Salary/Pay Rate: $25 to $30 per hour plus Profit Sharing.
• Location: Milton, WV (Multiple Locations / 30% Travel Required).
• Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
• Schedule: 10-Hour Shifts.
• Project Scope: Heavy Civil Sitework, Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants, and Commercial Site Development.
• Mandatory Licences & Certifications: None Required.

The Opportunity:

You will join a fast-paced, self-performing general contractor that values precision over shortcuts. This role offers direct access to our advanced in-house training system, intentionally built to help coachable operators advance into senior leadership positions. You will work on complex civil infrastructure projects while mastering cutting-edge machine control technology.

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Operate heavy production machinery including excavators, dozers, and skid steers safely and effectively.
• Execute precision mass excavation, trenching, fine grading, and underground utility installations.
• Utilize advanced GPS and Universal Total Station (UTS) technology to achieve exact grade and site layout.
• Establish and dig critical utility ditches and structural foundations to strict project specifications.
• Maintain daily equipment condition checks and report any mechanical issues promptly to prevent downtime.
• Collaborate with ground crews on additional site tasks to ensure overall project progression and safety.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 3 years of heavy equipment operation experience in civil construction.
• Verifiable field experience operating production-class heavy equipment (excavators, dozers, or similar machinery).
• Demonstrated commitment to jobsite safety protocols and high-quality, precise craftsmanship.
• Strong attention to detail with a coachable, growth-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work productive 10-hour shifts in a fast-paced field environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time within a 3-hour radius of Milton, WV.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Hands-on experience or familiarity with GPS and UTS grading systems.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Prior experience working around live underground utilities or water treatment infrastructure.
