About the Role

The Senior Manager of Global Medical Information is a key member of the Medical Affairs organization, responsible for providing scientific and operational oversight of Medical Information activities across Azurity's global portfolio. This individual serves as a subject matter expert and strategic partner, ensuring the delivery of accurate, balanced, compliant, and timely medical information to healthcare professionals (HCPs), patients, payers, and internal stakeholders. The role applies scientific and operational expertise to the review of complex medical inquiries, development of scientific content, oversight of vendor activities, and support of cross-functional initiatives, while fostering excellence and consistency across the Medical Information function. The Senior Manager will develop deep expertise in Azurity's therapeutic areas and contribute scientific insights to product launches, governance activities, Medical Affairs strategy, and other business-critical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and technical product knowledge in response to clinical/medical inquiries from external and internal customers
• Respond with a sense of urgency and ensure accurate, timely, and appropriate verbal and written responses to unsolicited medical information inquiries from HCPs, payers, and managed healthcare organizations, including inquiries not addressed by existing response documents
• Provide guidance and day-to-day oversight to the Medical Information Call Center vendor, including monitoring service quality, managing escalated cases, addressing performance or process issues, supporting ongoing training and coaching, and ensuring the timely resolution of operational risks
• Train and oversee Medical Information Managers to ensure the development, review, and maintenance of accurate, compliant, and scientifically sound medical information content
• Oversee the cross-franchise scientific review and finalization of custom responses, complex medical information inquiries, and other scientific content to ensure accuracy, consistency, scientific balance, and compliance
• Serve as an escalation and decision-support resource for Medical Information Managers, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders, providing guidance on complex inquiries, response strategies, prioritization, and operational continuity
• Oversee the creation, review, maintenance, and lifecycle management of Medical Information resources, including standard response letters, frequently asked questions, custom responses, and other scientific content, using the most current and relevant scientific evidence
• Analyze reports and metrics to identify trends, insights, knowledge gaps, operational risks, and opportunities for process improvement, and communicate findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders
• Collaborate with internal partners to support both the Promotional Material Review Committee (PMRC) and Scientific Review Committee (SRC) to ensure the provision of medical information is accurate and scientifically balanced
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, including Quality Assurance, Pharmacovigilance, Clinical Development, Commercial, Market Access, Legal, Regulatory, Digital Transformation, and other Medical Affairs functions
• Collaborate with the broader Medical Affairs and Medical Science Liaison teams to address knowledge gaps and support product- and disease-state education
• Assist with coordinating, escalating, and reviewing legal contracts related to Medical Affairs activities
• Perform other Medical Information-related support and expanded functions, as required

  Required Skills and Experience

• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in Medical Information, including experience reviewing complex scientific content and overseeing Medical Information activities

Preferred Qualifications

• An advanced degree in a health sciences discipline, such as a PharmD or PhD, with a thorough grasp of the pharmaceutical industry is preferred. Candidates with a master's or bachelor's degree in a relevant health sciences discipline, such as an RN, RPh, PA, or NP qualification, may also be considered.
• Postdoctoral fellowship, residency, or other advanced training in Medical Information, Drug Information, clinical practice, or the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
