Vice President of People Operations | Louisville, KY

We are recruiting for a well-established and growing real estate development firm with a diverse portfolio spanning residential, multifamily, commercial, retail, and construction operations. The company has a long-standing history in the Louisville market and a professional, relationship-driven culture.

We are seeking an experienced Vice President of People Operations to join the leadership team and partner closely with the Chief People Officer. This is a unique long-term succession opportunity for an HR leader who is looking to grow into greater strategic responsibility while initially learning the organization, its culture, and established People practices.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partner with Payroll, Benefits, and People Development teams across a multi-entity organization.
• Support the Chief People Officer with both operational HR needs and the long-term development of the People function.
• Provide expertise across multi-state HR compliance, employee relations, HR operations, and best practices .
• Partner with leadership and employees across multiple business units and employee populations.
• Help identify opportunities to enhance processes and programs while maintaining the organization's established culture.
• Adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a highly collaborative, hands-on leadership environment.

Ideal Candidate:

• Progressive HR leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws and compliance .
• Experience supporting multiple entities, locations, or diverse employee populations.
• Real estate, property management, construction, development, or related industry experience preferred.
• Experience with ADP or a comparable HRIS/payroll system preferred.
• A thoughtful and observant leader who takes the time to learn before making changes .
• Strong judgment, adaptability, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization.
