Experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist Needed

We're hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Alexandria, VA. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The role involves providing intensive respiratory care, operating ventilatory equipment, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and communicating effectively with the care team to support patient outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Current state respiratory therapist license in good standing.
• One year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• BLS certification.
• Experience operating and maintaining mechanical ventilators, performing arterial puncture, suctioning, tracheostomy care, and non-invasive/invasive ventilation.
• Ability to perform 12-lead EKGs, basic arrhythmia recognition, pulse oximetry, and capnography monitoring.
• Experience assisting with procedures such as bronchoscopy, chest tube care, and tracheostomy procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting or with moderate complexity labs preferred.

Assignment Details

• Night shift schedule: 3x12.
• Assignment location: Alexandria, VA (hospital).
