• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Proven experience working in a school setting, ideally supporting students with diverse needs
• Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with parents, staff, and students
• Adaptability and patience to tailor instruction to a variety of learning styles
• Comfortable with both classroom and one-on-one instruction

Key responsibilities:

• Develop, modify, and deliver instruction that meets students' individual educational plans
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to support student achievement and well-being
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting for each student
• Foster a positive, structured, and nurturing learning environment
