Volunteers of America Delaware Valley is seeking an experienced, mission-driven Vice President of Supportive Services to provide senior leadership across supportive housing, shelter, homelessness prevention, and client stabilization programs in Camden County. This role leads multidisciplinary teams delivering trauma-informed, client-centered services and collaborates with executive leadership, government agencies, and community partners to ensure high-quality services, compliance, and strong client outcomes.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across supportive housing, shelter, rapid rehousing, homelessness prevention, and related supportive services

• Supervise program directors, managers, case management staff, shelter leadership, and supportive service teams

• Develop and implement goals, policies, and procedures aligned with the organization’s mission and strategic plan

• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, professionalism, and trauma-informed care

• Oversee emergency shelter, transitional housing, permanent supportive housing, and homelessness diversion services

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, county, and local regulations and funding requirements

• Monitor program performance, housing outcomes, occupancy goals, and client success metrics; improve placement and retention outcomes

• Coordinate supportive services that address barriers to housing (employment, mental health, substance use, healthcare, transportation, life skills)

• Build and maintain partnerships with Camden County agencies, municipalities, housing authorities, healthcare/behavioral health providers, law enforcement, and community organizations

• Represent VOADV at meetings, coalitions, and public events; serve as key liaison with funders and government partners

• Develop and manage budgets; monitor expenditures for fiscal responsibility and grant/contract compliance

• Support grant development and reporting; use data systems to evaluate effectiveness and drive continuous quality improvement

• Oversee audits, site visits, monitoring, quality assurance, risk management, documentation, and timely reporting

• Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate staff; promote development, engagement, retention, and performance improvement

What You Need:

• Master’s degree preferred (Social Work, Public Administration, Human Services, Nonprofit Management, Psychology, Counseling, or related field); bachelor’s with significant leadership experience may be considered

• 7–10 years of progressive leadership in supportive housing, homelessness services, shelter operations, social services, or nonprofit management

• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and multiple programs

• Demonstrated experience with government contracts, grant-funded programs, and regulatory compliance

• Strong knowledge of Housing First principles, trauma-informed care, and supportive service models; experience serving diverse populations

• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills; comfort with data/reporting tools and Microsoft Office

• Preferred: clinical credential/certification; experience with HUD, CoC (Continuum of Care), ESG (Emergency Solutions Grants), NJ DCA (New Jersey Department of Community Affairs), and regional systems
