Job Description

Shipping & Receiving Associate – 2nd Shift

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions , in partnership with a leading bag manufacturing company in the Union, IL area , is currently seeking a full-time Shipping & Receiving Associate for a climate-controlled facility. Pay & Schedule

Pay: $16.50 per hour
Shift: 2nd Shift
Hours: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Days: Monday through Friday
Required PPE: Steel-toe shoes or boots

Job Responsibilities

Receive and verify package counts from carriers including UPS, FedEx, DHL, and other delivery services.
Process and ship orders through UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS, and other carriers.
Coordinate with logistics personnel to prepare and ship Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) and Full Truckload (FTL) shipments.
Verify correct bag selection and quantities for all plain bag orders.
Identify and prevent shipment errors before products leave the facility.
Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

QualificationsExperience

Inventory control experience preferred.
Shipping and receiving experience preferred.
Forklift/fork truck operating experience preferred.
Basic computer skills required.
Experience with inventory control, computers, fork truck driving, and shipping. Strong interpersonal skills required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of shipping logistics and warehouse operations.
Familiarity with shipping software and computer systems.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
