Volunteer Coordinator

Overview:

Global OffSite Care, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing essential medical care to underserved communities globally, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Volunteer Coordinator to join our team. As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating our volunteer program, ensuring that our organization operates smoothly and efficiently. This is a volunteer position, offering an opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals in need around the world.

Responsibilities:

  • Volunteer Retention:
    1. Strengthen volunteer engagement and long-term participation by designing and implementing retention strategies that support a positive volunteer experience.
    2. Foster meaningful relationships with volunteers through ongoing check-ins, appreciation initiatives, and opportunities for continued growth.
    3. Monitor volunteer satisfaction, gather feedback to identify improvement areas, and collaborate with team leads to ensure volunteers feel supported, valued, and aligned with the organization’s mission.
  • Volunteer Management:
    1. Help maintain an accurate and up-to-date database of volunteers, including contact information, availability, and areas of interest.
    2. Regularly communicate with volunteers, providing updates, addressing inquiries, and fostering a positive and engaging volunteer experience.
    3. Assign volunteers to specific projects or roles based on their skills, interests, and availability, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
  • Volunteer Recognition and Retention:
    1. Develop and implement strategies to recognize and appreciate volunteers' contributions, fostering a culture of appreciation and gratitude.
    2. Regularly evaluate volunteer satisfaction and engagement, implementing initiatives to improve volunteer retention and commitment to the organization.
  • Collaborative Support:
    1. Collaborate with various teams and departments to identify volunteer needs and coordinate volunteer assignments accordingly.
    2. Assist in organizing and coordinating volunteer-related events, such as appreciation ceremonies, training workshops, and fundraising activities.

Qualifications:

  • Passionate about Global OffSite Care's mission and values.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and databases.
  • Prior experience in volunteer coordination, recruitment, or management is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a collaborative and flexible approach.
  • Proficiency in using computer software and applications for database management, communications, and project coordination.
  • Would be most convenient for a resident of the USA to hold this position as most of the volunteers that you would be coordinating are living in the USA.
