Responsibilities As a compliance and accreditation subject matter specialist, you will oversee the Compliance Department. Some of your key functions will be creating and updating assessment tools to monitor the success of compliance activities, communicating rules, regulations, and guidelines to relevant stakeholders, and representing the organization during compliance and accreditation audits. In this role, you will: Serve as the facility's primary liaison and point person on the PREA and coordinate facility's compliance efforts and reporting requirements to comply with the Act. Attend PREA training workshops, respond to inquiries, and coordinate and conduct training for facility staff on PREA as needed. Prepare reports and presentations as needed. Write, update, train and oversee the implementation of Corporate and facility specific PREA related policies and procedures to better insur(e) compliance with all PREA standards and audit requirements. Compile facility statistics and reports on incidents of Sexual Activity and Sexual Abuse. Assist with PREA Facility assessments. Prepare an annual report on findings and corrective actions for the Facility. Monitor individuals who report abuse for retaliation in accordance with established PREA policy. Serve as the facility's primary advocate and liaison with the DHS PSA and Corporate PREA Coordinators as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Excellent leadership skills, flexibility, team spirit, and the ability to work and present to a diverse group of people are among the best candidate's top qualifications. You must also demonstrate a deep understanding of operations and the ability to compare them to organizational, client, and third-party compliance and accreditation policies and guidelines. Apply if you have: Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field along with three (3) years of experience in a corrections, law enforcement or related capacity. Experience needs to demonstrate an understanding of the facility's operations while being able to compare them to organizational, contracting client, and other outside party's compliance and accreditation policies and guidelines. (A high school diploma or GED with five (5) years of progressive experience in corrections, law enforcement or related fields may be substituted based on management's discretion.) Experience in compliance, accreditation, and quality management highly desirable. Above average verbal and written communication. Must be able to make presentations to employees at all levels of the facility and write cohesive and comprehensive documentation. May be required to travel up to 60% of the time. Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
