Accounting Clerk - Automotive Billing/Contracts

Martin Automotive Group is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our team at Dayton Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram . The Accounting Clerk provides assistance to Controller with sales and expense analyses for all departments. Fairly represents the financial condition of the facility, develops controls necessary for the proper conduct of the business, maintains accurate records and establishes and maintains the date processing capabilities to accomplish the facilities’ objectives. Responsibilities Process and finalize all vehicle billing transactions accurately and in a timely manner Review and verify deal paperwork for completeness and compliance Submit contracts to lenders and ensure proper funding procedures are followed Maintain accurate records of all transactions and cancellations Handle warranty cancellations, gap cancellations and service contract refunds Complete all necessary paperwork for new employees on their first day of work Reconcile schedules related to contracts, warranties and receivables Communicate with finance managers, lenders and customers as needed Ensure compliance with dealership policies and state regulations Complete all training as directed by management Follow policies and procedures as set forth in Personnel Policy Manual and other corporate policies Any other duties as assigned Qualifications MUST have prior automotive dealership experience (billing, contracts or accounting office) Strong knowledge of dealership management systems (Dealer Track, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, etc. preferred) Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and problem-solving skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Preferred Qualifications Experience with warranty and GAP cancellations Accounting or bookkeeping background Familiarity with DMV/title processing is a plus Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Paid time off and holiday Health, dental and vision insurance Opportunities for growth within the dealership #J-18808-Ljbffr
