Nexus Family Recovery Center is a Dallas-based nonprofit dedicated to helping women and families heal from substance use disorder. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Completes tours of campus and log entries at stations as assigned, while monitoring surroundings for unsafe or criminal activity.
- Appropriately reports and de-escalates situations as needed.
- Completes shift reports and incident reports.
- Monitors CCTV video feed.
- Stations at the administrative reception area during Receptionist breaks and as needed, providing directions and responses to clients and visitors.
- Carries the campus security phone and responds to calls as needed.
- Other duties within the organization as assigned.
Competencies
- Able to detect and appropriately report and deescalate unsafe or criminal activities.
- Able to learn and operate within Nexus standards of client care.
- Able to complete multiple tours of the 11-acre campus each shift, maintaining alertness to surroundings and situational awareness.
- Able to use a mobile application to log key points in campus rounds.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to use Microsoft Office business tools including Outlook and SharePoint.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

- Adheres to the agency's compliance plan, code of conduct, and the Nexus policies & procedures.

- Ability to solve practical problems involving a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations.

- Ability to work at the maximum capacity of all required expectations.
