1st Shift Warehouse Scanner

Scanner Position

Starting Pay Rate: $15.75/hr

Schedule: Monday - Friday Hours: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

Mandatory overtime is determined by business needs and may require additional hours during the regular schedule, as well as availability on weekends.

Dress Code: Casual attire is acceptable but must be within company guidelines. Closed toed shoes are required.

Position Summary

Under direct supervision, a Scanner in warehouse operations is responsible for processing returned/recalled consumer products or pharmaceuticals on behalf of a retailer or manufacturer. The Scanner position requires high attention to detail and ability to operate technology such as barcode scanners, digital scales, software applications, and touch screen computers and the ability to read, understand and follow standard operating procedures specific to this position. Primary Accountabilities:

• Efficiently and accurately capture product codes (bar codes) or other information, using scanning equipment, for input of information into computerized systems
• For pharmaceutical products, visually identify and verify key product information, then count, measure or weigh the item and enter information into computerized systems
• Sort scanned product items into appropriate container locations
• Inspect condition of product and prepare for disposition in accordance with client contract terms
• Always maintain a clean and orderly workstation and area

• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High School (or its equivalent) or minimum of two year's work experience in a warehouse or production job; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the responsibilities of this position required
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Working knowledge of computers
• Able to follow standard operation and safety procedures
• Able to work in an environment that is not climate controlled
• Able to work under time pressure and meet production goals; able to work more than 8 hours per day (over-time) as needed
• Able to assist with other operations within the warehouse, as needed
• Able to handle hazardous waste materials with appropriate safety measures

The hiring pay rate for this position is $15.75. Incremental pay increase are provided at 3 months and 12 months of employment. This is a non-exempt, hourly role eligible for overtime in accordance with federal and state laws. In addition to base hourly pay, eligible employees in this role may receive: Safety bonuses based on meeting defined performance and compliance requirements. Shift differentials, where applicable(e.g. for evening or late shifts)
