As a COBOL Developer at Kyndryl, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining core banking systems in mainframe environments that support mission-critical financial operations. In this role, you will work on legacy systems that process high-volume transactions related to accounts, credits, payments, and financial movements.

You will operate in highly regulated environments where precision, stability, and compliance are essential. Working closely with cross-functional technical and business teams, your work will directly contribute to the reliability and continuity of critical banking services.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze functional and technical requirements to support core banking applications.
• Develop and maintain COBOL programs in batch and online mainframe environments.
• Manage and support data processing using DB2 and VSAM files.
• Optimize high-volume transactional processes to ensure performance and stability.
• Provide production support, monitoring, and technical documentation for critical systems.

• 5+ years of experience developing or supporting applications in mainframe environments.
• Hands-on experience with COBOL and JCL.
• Experience working with CICS in online transaction processing environments.
• Knowledge of DB2 and VSAM for data management.
• Familiarity with mainframe operational processes and production support.
• Experience with Git or version control tools, including integrations with modern pipelines.

• Experience working in the financial services or banking sector.
• Exposure to modernization initiatives, such as APIs or integrations over mainframe systems.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools or CI/CD pipelines for mainframe environments.
• Basic English proficiency for technical documentation and collaboration with global teams.
