Role Description The Line Cook is a full-time, on-site role based in White River Junction, VT. This position is responsible for preparing menu items according to recipes and quality standards, including prep work, cooking, plating, and timely service during busy shifts. The Line Cook will maintain a clean and organized workstation, follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, and assist with inventory rotation and ingredient storage. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with the kitchen and bar team, supporting special events or classes with food service, and adjusting to seasonal or event-driven menus. The role also involves communicating with team members to ensure consistent quality, smooth service, and a positive guest experience. Qualifications Professional line cooking experience in a restaurant, bar, or similar food service environment. Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food preparation, and recipe execution. Understanding of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper kitchen hygiene. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume setting while maintaining quality. Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills. Reliability and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event-based shifts as needed. Comfort working in an open, guest-facing environment and supporting special events. Interest in wine, hospitality, or plant-focused spaces is a plus.
