Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.The Maintenance Supervisor will primarily lead the system and equipment maintenance efforts for the Savage Coal/Sulphur Operation in El Dorado, KS; including the organizing of maintenance team members, ensuring the Computerized Maintenance Management System is utilized properly and kept up-to-date and ensure the facility's maintenance work is completed timely, efficiently and safely.Location: El Dorado, KSDays/Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM potential weekendsEquipment Used: Heavy equipment and truck trailers but not limited tooMaterial Handled: Coal/SulphurThese are just a few of the benefits you can expect from working with Savage:Excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, Holidays, Profit Sharing, and 401(k) with match.Uniform Services Time Off (USTO)Uniform Services Differential PayA culture that appreciates Team MembersWhat you'll be doing:Provide leadership to the maintenance team of mechanics and operators on maintenance activities.Supervise daily maintenance activities.Develop and lead preventative maintenance practices for the facility.Maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).Ensure all work is performed in compliance with regulatory requirementsLead in Safety and ensures team members follow proper safety rules, maintenance and operating procedures.Write and revise maintenance procedures as needed.Identify, procure and maintain critical parts for the facility and system.Manage spare parts inventory and ensure that necessary amounts of inventory are in stock to reduce any delays or failures.Oversee daily inspections and maintenance audits.Ability to schedule work and plan schedules to accommodate production.Ability to lead meetings and communicate effectively with Team Members and CustomersPlan work and repairs – from bidding and cost estimation, schedule development, through executionEvaluate, select and manage outside contractors – by setting expectations, adhering to company and customer requirements, and hold our partners accountableRequirements to be successful in this position:Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical blueprintsKnowledge and experience using a CMMSExcellent communication skills: written and spokenEffective interfacing with internal leadership, direct reports, external vendors and other team membersSelf?starter capable of working independently, in line with company goals, strategies and policiesCreative and strategic in approaching issues. Not afraid to challenge the status quoExcellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and carry critical projects to completionAbility to diagnose, problem solve and execute plansComputer and internet savvy include the use of Microsoft Office Suite programs.Ability to work in a leadership rolePossess a strong background of continuous improvement, personal development and attention to detail are absolute requirements.Education/Experience:Five (5) years' experience working in plant operations industrial facility environmentThree (3) years in a maintenance supervisory roleBackground in planning and scheduling maintenanceExperience applying safety regulations and written procedures within a refinery or chemical plantBachelor Degree preferredPhysical Requirements:Willing to live and/or relocate to the El Dorado, KS areaThis role will require standing or for extended period of time and walk long distances throughout the dayNavigating the facility will include, but is not limited to, exposure to harsh weather conditions, uneven ground, ladders, racks and other high places, ground that can be slick, icy or uneven, and other industrial hazardsBecause we are a 24/7 operation, this supervisor may be called out at night to assist with critical service problemsMinimal travel, but will include both air and road travelMust be comfortable working in an office environment at times, working with a computer and sitting for longer periods of time
