As a Meat Clerk at Festival Foods, your responsibilities will include:

• Deliver helpful service: Provide exceptional guest service at the meat counter and on the sales floor, including fulfilling special orders and answering product questions.
• Maintain fresh, well-stocked displays by inspecting, rotating, and replenishing meat products and supplies.
• Honor commitments: Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
• Collaborate with the team: Perform other duties as assigned.

To succeed as a Festival Foods Meat Clerk, you should have:

• Strong communication skills: Ability to effectively engage with guests, leaders, and retail sales associates. Utilize strong written and verbal skills to work with a crew in a fast-paced environment.
• Food safety: A willingness to learn food safety standards, proper equipment usage (like slicers), and inventory practices.
• Ability to multitask and stay customer service focused in a busy retail grocery environment.
• Safety mindset: An understanding of safety and food safety practices and a commitment to following them. This role requires proper training and knowledge of equipment and procedures, including: slicers, proper lifting techniques, trash compactor, baler, etc.

• Stand in one place for a long period of time, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly
• Full range of upper body motion
• Lifting up to 80 pounds on an occasional basis
• Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures such as freezers, coolers, kitchens, and sales floor
• Repetitive motion of hands and wrists
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

This is a part-time or full-time position with varying shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Weekly Pay & Premium Pay: Hourly associates are paid weekly, providing more frequent access to their funds. Part-time store associates are paid a $1 premium per hour on Sundays and select holidays. Hourly full-time store associates receive time and a half on Sundays and select holidays.

Two-Week Advanced Scheduling: Better Planning. Better Balance. We provide our associates with their schedules two weeks in advance, offering greater predictability & flexibility.
