Associate Director, Medical Digital Strategy & Activation

This role leads the development and execution of digital and AI strategies within Medical Affairs, establishing governance frameworks and multi-year roadmaps for global teams. The Associate Director translates strategic initiatives into scalable, compliant digital solutions that support scientific education and patient engagement while coordinating across functional areas to align priorities and drive measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead Global Medical Digital Office governance, decision-making processes, and cross-functional operating models
- Define and advance Medical Affairs digital and AI strategy with multi-year roadmaps aligned to business outcomes
- Establish standards, playbooks, and governance frameworks ensuring compliance and consistency across global teams
- Partner with technology and platform teams to shape capability roadmaps and solution delivery approaches
- Serve as strategic escalation point for complex digital needs and advise senior leaders on opportunities and risks
Requirements
- Strategic leadership experience in digital transformation or medical affairs
- Expertise in digital strategy development and cross-functional stakeholder management
- Knowledge of healthcare compliance, privacy, security, and accessibility requirements
- Experience with artificial intelligence implementation and governance frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into scalable, measurable operational plans
- Strong background in digital channel engagement and measurement approaches
