DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP) - Day Services Join Mozaic (A Chapter of Arc NY) in making a difference! Direct Support Professionals (DSP) Duties: These caregivers help individuals maintain safe and healthy lifestyles within our community by assisting with transportation, attending appointments, and supporting daily living activities. They follow guidelines, administer medications, and implement care plans accurately. In collaboration with families, healthcare professionals, and case managers, they work as part of a support team to ensure the overall well-being and quality of life for individuals with disabilities. Additionally, they provide emotional support, encouragement, and advocate for the rights and needs of those in their care. Direct Support Professional (DSP) Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Minimally one-year experience working with people with developmental disabilities or an associate degree in human services or a related field is required. A valid Driver's License is required. Experience in the Human Services field or as a Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a valuable bonus! Direct Support Professional (DSP) Hours: Monday - Friday, with some planned evenings and weekends. Day Shift: 8am to 3pm but hours will vary.
