$22.84/hr • Full-Time • Outdoor Work • Federal Facility
We are hiring a Litter Crew Member to perform general grounds upkeep, debris pickup, RTV driving, and miscellaneous support tasks across Charleston Air Force Base. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on outdoor work, takes pride in keeping areas clean and safe, and likes a job with variety.
What You’ll Do
- Primary task is to drive an RTV/Gator to patrol grounds and collect sticks, debris, and trash
- Occasionally perform “odds and ends” tasks such as removing suckers from trees and light trimming
- Support the grounds crew with general upkeep and detail work
- Occasionally assist with mowing or weed‑eating as needed (not a primary duty)
- Maintain clean walkways, landscaped areas, and common grounds
- Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly
- Follow OSHA and company safety procedures
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions – Extreme heat, rain, cold, snow
What We’re Looking For
- 1+ year of grounds, landscaping, or outdoor labor experience
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work
- Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to work independently
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation OR Real ID OR passport
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Must pass a mandatory Federal background check (no felonies) for base access
