Tennis Programs & Junior Development Coordinator

Job Summary: The Tennis Programs & Events Coordinator will lead operationsand development for the Tennis Center’s Tennis and Pickleballprograms and events. The Coordinator will serve as a liaison tovarious clubs, leagues, renters, and community members to growprograms, increase community engagement, and enhance positivecustomer experiences. The Coordinator will also lead all eventplanning and development for events hosted on Center grounds, orevents hosted to support the Tennis Center. This role also leadsJunior tennis programming. Duties & Essential Job Functions: Coordinates, develops, and leads adult tennis and pickleballprogramming, including organizing and managing various tennisleagues and recreational activities. Plans, schedules, and facilitates tennis and pickleball drills,clinics, and instructional lessons for all levels. Ensures leagues, drills, and lessons are conducted safely,efficiently, and in accordance with Tennis Center policies andprocedures. Monitors program participation, evaluates effectiveness, andrecommends enhancements to improve the participant experience.Researches new ideas and trends and makes recommendations toDirector of the Tennis Center to implement new programofferings. M… (continued 5-17 items) Required Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in experience. 3 years’ experience in event coordination, operations, andprogram planning Prior experience playing tennis and pickleball Preferred Education & Experience: Prior coaching tennis and pickleball lessons, camps, orclinics. Experience hosting athletic events and tournaments. Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training: Valid Texas Driver’s License. Must be insurable under the university motor vehiclerequirements. Preferred Licensure, Certification, and/or Specialized Training: None Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of event planning principles, practices, and projectmanagement techniques. Knowledge of Tennis and Pickleball rules, regulations, and skillbuilding Knowledge of customer service principles and relationshipmanagement practices. Skill in organizational and project management with the abilityto manage multiple events simultaneously. Skill in verbal and written communication skills. Skill in problem-solving and decision-making in fast-pacedenvironments. Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients,vendors, sponsors, and stakeholders. Ability to coordinate all phases of event planning,implementation, and evaluation. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of ateam. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and eventrequirements. Ability to supervise volunteers, temporary staff, or eventpersonnel. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, andoccasional holidays, as required by event schedules. This role is an on campus, in-person position. There are no harmful environmental conditions present for thisjob. The noise level in this work environment is usuallymoderate.
