Electrician
Trillium Construction is now hiring Journeyman Electricians for a large commercial roof-top solar job in Wood Dale, IL!
Scope of work:
- Install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on commercial rooftops.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and site plans.
- Mount racking systems, solar panels, inverters, and electrical equipment.
- Run conduit and pull wire according to electrical code requirements.
- Make electrical connections from solar arrays to inverters, disconnects, and distribution panels.
- Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning to ensure proper operation.
- Install and terminate AC and DC wiring.
- Ensure all work complies with NEC, OSHA, and local electrical codes.
- Work closely with foremen, project managers, and other trades to complete projects on schedule.
- Conduct jobsite safety inspections and maintain a safe work environment.
- Inspect and maintain solar equipment as needed.
- Document completed work and assist with project closeout activities.
Monday - Friday, Saturday as needed 7 am - 5:30 pm (50hr+)
Pay: $107.74
Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of electrical experience
- Solar experience is preferred
- Owns basic hand and power tools
- Can work at heights
- Ability to pass pre-employment screenings
