Contracts Analyst

Job Summary The Contracts Analyst (CA) reviews, updates, and monitors contracts and other transactional documents between Dynalectric and its clients. The CA provides assistance on various legal, risk management, insurance and compliance issues related to Dynalectric transactional documents. The CA will be trained and supervised by the Contracts Director. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Review and process contracts and contract change orders Meticulously analyze clauses, terms, and obligations in contracts to identify key contract risks. Suggest alternative language to agreements to minimize contract risks to Dynalectric. Track contract changes during the negotiation process. Monitor and coordinate the contract approval process. Process executed contracts and contract change orders, filing and updating internal job tracking software. Ensure all documents are completed according to established policies and quality standards. Communicate contract life‑cycle status to appropriate stakeholders such as DMs, PMs, Contracts Specialists, and Contract Administrators. Advise operational staff on relevant contract clauses and requirements to aid in compliance, meet client needs, and avoid disputes. Maintain understanding of state, federal, and local laws to assist in effective review of agreements and provide insight into their impact on operations. Other Duties As Required Attend meetings (project kick‑offs, highlight important contract matters and notice requirements). Comply with all company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs as established. Promote Dynalectric company culture and standards (lead from the front). Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of assuring efficient and effective functioning of the work unit. Qualifications JD Degree or bachelor’s degree and 3 to 5 years as a Contracts Analyst; construction industry preferred. Passed the Bar exam in the state of residence or a Certified Contracts Manager. Knowledge of the construction industry and contracting practices. Experience writing and reviewing contracts, preferably in the construction industry. Working knowledge of federal, state and city regulations and guidelines. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel). Familiarity with project management/document control software. Familiarity with construction/financial software packages. Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced work environment. The CA is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment Office‑based, in a temperature-controlled environment. Typical working hours are Monday – Friday during normal business hours.
