Overview
Registered Nurse – Wound Care in a short-term acute care setting. Fort Defiance, Arizona, United States. Start date 09/08/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range is $2,560–$2,730 per week, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The assignment focuses on wound care and ostomy care within a short-term acute care environment.

Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement care for patients with ostomies, draining wounds, fistulas, pressure ulcers, and other acute or chronic wounds.
- Provide comprehensive wound care, including treatment planning, dressing selection, and ongoing evaluation of healing progress.
- Educate patients and families on wound and ostomy care, supplies, and equipment to support home or continued care.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and ensure safe, evidence-based practice.
- Document assessments, care plans, and progress in the medical record; adhere to infection control and documentation standards.

Requirements
- Wound Care Certification required; minimum 3 years of wound care experience
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Experience in acute care wound and ostomy care; ability to work in a fast-paced, Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule with no holidays or weekends
