Make it happen at Hopkins Patient Care Tech I - PCT – Cardiac Surgery Stepdown Full Time – Rotating shift – 36 hours. The Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU) is a 32-bed adult inpatient surgical unit. The unit offers 3 levels of care: floor, telemetry, and intermediate care for acute cardiac, vascular, and other surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring. Care and services provided: coronary artery bypass, Heartmate© II or III & Heartware© mechanical circulatory support devices, valve replacement or repairs, Type A & B aortic dissections, fem-pop bypass, scalenectomy, TAVR, heart or lung transplantation. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required. One year of clinical experience e.g., home care, outpatient, acute care (hospital preferred) technician experience during the most recent two years in a setting relevant to the unit. BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted. Salary Range: Minimum 18.41/hour - Maximum 27.70/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
