Description Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Part Time UVA Imaging is seeking a highly motivated, compassionate, and patient-focused Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at our outpatient imaging center in Zion Crossroads, VA . Position Status: Part Time Schedule: Tuesday & Wednesday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM Location: Zion Crossroads, VA Position Summary: The LPN is responsible for assisting with the preparation and care of patients undergoing imaging procedures. Responsibilities include conducting patient safety screenings, obtaining and reviewing patient histories as needed, establishing IV access, and supporting patients throughout their visit. The ideal candidate will have strong patient care and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient imaging environment. Education Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program . Licensure & Certification Must meet all LPN licensure requirements for the state in which they practice . BLS certification required within 60 days of hire. Skills & Abilities Ability to work independently and multitask under the direction of an RN or licensed independent practitioner. Ability to assist in managing medical emergencies and/or contrast reactions under the direction of a licensed independent practitioner. Strong communication, organization, and patient care skills. Ability to complete documentation accurately and concisely. Computer Skills Working knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard/data entry, digital archiving, and data retrieval. Work Environment While performing the essential functions of this position, employees may be exposed to: Blood and bodily fluids Infectious diseases Radiation Magnetic fields Chemicals Cool and/or dimly lit rooms
