Youth Development Specialist, Alpha - $100,000/year USD

After each workshop, your students will complete a mastery-based assessment. 90%+ should rate your performance highly. 100% should be progressing in their applications. In this role, you'll become expert at designing workshops teenagers actively want to attend, mastering advanced learning software, and forming enduring relationships with students and their families. What You Will Be Doing

• Facilitating one-hour life skill workshops for high school students covering topics such as public speaking, concentration, and feedback exchange, followed by measuring mastery via a structured Test2Pass assessment
• Conducting daily motivation sessions that leverage Coachbot analytics to engage individual students, diagnose where they're stalled in their learning apps, and guide them through obstacles
• Co-creating personalized motivational strategies with students, including reward systems and incentives that fuel self-directed advancement in their academic applications
• Reviewing curriculum and lesson frameworks prior to each session, then adjusting delivery in response to real-time group dynamics

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Teaching academic subjects. Software delivers math, reading, and all other content.
• Managing a school or supervising a team. No budgets, no hiring, no operational meetings; your sole focus is your student cohort.
• Disciplining through conventional authority. No detentions, no suspensions, no "because I said so." You rely on logic and positive reinforcement to cultivate a respectful, high-energy culture.

Youth Development Specialist Key Responsibilities

Develop a cohort of high school students who love school, learn 2x faster through adaptive software, and demonstrate mastery of real-world life skills.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any subject
• 3+ years of experience working directly with high school students (ages 13-18)
• Willing to work in-person in Oklahoma City, OK (relocation assistance available)
• Legal right to work in the US

Nice-to-have Requirements

• Background as an athletic coach, camp counselor, or youth program leader who has motivated teenagers outside a traditional classroom
• Track record of leading groups toward measurable goals (completion rates, performance benchmarks, behavior change)
• Experience with adaptive learning platforms or ed-tech tools
• Storytelling ability that holds a room of teenagers' attention, delivered with cultural awareness and relatability

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
