Senior Survey TechnicianAn established engineering firm is seeking a Senior Survey Technician. The role involves utilizing Civil 3D to create maps and drawings, performing construction stakeout computations, and ensuring quality control on various surveying projects. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license, strong technical skills, and a commitment to professional growth within a supportive, community-focused environment.Responsibilities:Technical Drafting: Create precise topographic, boundary, and ALTA/NSPS surveys using Civil 3D or Carlson.Construction Support: Perform stake-out computations, prepare cut-sheets, and provide daily technical guidance to field crews.Collaboration: Work in conjunction with Project Managers, engineers, planners, operations, etc.Data Analysis: Process field observations, research historical deeds/records, and resolve complex boundary mosaics.Quality Control: Conduct rigorous QA/QC on all maps and drawings to ensure industry and regulatory compliance.Coordination: Act as a liaison between project managers, engineers, and field technicians to meet strict project deadlines.Qualifications:Associates Degree or Higher is required. Ideally with a focus on CAD5+ years of professional land surveying experience (office and/or field).Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; ability to build surfaces and alignments.Strong mathematical aptitude (trigonometry/geometry) and the ability to interpret handwritten historical documents.Must have a valid Maryland Drivers LicenseCST (Certified Survey Technician) Level II or III and an Associate's Degree in a related field are a plusRequirements: Valid driver's license, a reliable work ethic, and excellent communication skills.Perks:Pay: $35.00 – $45.00/hour plus overtime and performance bonuses.Benefits: 401(k) with match, PTO, comprehensive medical/dental/vision, and company sponsored life insurance.Growth: Tuition reimbursement, professional development assistance, referral programs and paid parental leave.
