Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
Directly responsible for the maintenance, functioning and operation of all medical equipment in the department. He / she will be working closely with a team of nurses and doctors during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures. The successful candidate will be required to work some flexible hours to cover occasionally some late or early cases as well as be a part of an on-call rotation during off hours, weekends and holidays for emergency (e.g. STEMI) cases.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB:
Work requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and one of the following :
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or Registered Cardiac Sonographer from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) registry is required. Registered Diagnostic Sonographer from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) registry is also accepted. New Jersey Licensed Practical Nurse with a minimum of at least one year experience caring for cardiac patients.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) to be completed within the 3-month introductory period.
Effective January 2019, St. Joseph's Health requires certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) to be granted through the American Heart Association.

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc." The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.

St. Joseph's University Medical Center is an academic tertiary care medical center and state designated trauma center, located on the Paterson campus, regularly accepts referrals of difficult or unusual cases from other hospitals and physicians and performs both complex and routine procedures.
