As a Baker at Dandelion Cafe Heights, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our guests enjoy fresh, beautifully crafted baked goods every day. From preparing doughs to perfecting pastries, your expertise will shine in every bite. Key ResponsibilitiesBaking & Production

• Prepare and bake breads, pastries, desserts, and other baked goods using Dandelion Cafe recipes and standards.
• Accurately measure and scale ingredients to ensure consistency in taste, texture, and appearance.
• Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product quality to achieve perfection.
• Properly cool, store, label, and organize finished products.

Daily Preparation & Organization

• Complete daily and weekly baking production based on prep lists and par levels.
• Maintain an organized baking station and rotate ingredients using FIFO practices.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or needs to the Kitchen Manager.

Quality & Presentation

• Ensure all baked goods meet Dandelion Cafe’s high standards for quality, consistency, and presentation.
• Take ownership of the products leaving the kitchen, paying attention to details like size, shape, color, and texture.

Cleanliness & Food Safety

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary baking station throughout the shift.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene requirements.
• Properly clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and storage areas.

Teamwork & Communication

• Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager and other team members to meet production needs.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude, even during busy periods.
• Be receptive to feedback and assist in training team members when needed.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have: - At least 3 years of professional baking experience in a restaurant, bakery, cafe, or commercial kitchen. - Strong knowledge of baking techniques and production methods. - Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to consistency. - The ability to work independently while managing production priorities. - Strong organizational and time-management skills. - A positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset.

Availability Requirements

This position requires open availability , including: - Early mornings - Weekends - Holidays - Busy periods and special events

Baking production often begins early, so early-morning availability is essential.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Lift and carry boxes, ingredients, and equipment as needed.
• Work safely around ovens, mixers, and other commercial kitchen equipment.
• Perform repetitive motions such as bending, reaching, and lifting in a fast-paced environment.
