RN Assistant Nurse Manager – T1 CTV ICU Full-Time, 40 hrs/week Summa Health System – Akron Campus: recognized as a top regional employer, we value servant leadership, teamwork, and a culture of excellence in patient care. The Assistant Nurse Manager supports the RN Nurse Manager in all aspects of unit operations on a 24‑hour basis. Responsibilities Plan and develop tactical short‑, mid‑, and long‑term goals to enhance unit operations and support Summa Health’s mission, vision, and values. Identify barriers to goal attainment, and guide, coach, and evaluate patient‑care staff performance. Collaborate with other patient‑care departments and areas that directly or indirectly influence patient‑care operations. Assist with unit budget planning and calculation of return on investment for unit initiatives. Participate in the development of evidence‑based standards of practice. Identify opportunities for improvement in patient care and organizational processes. Formal Education Required Graduate of a professional nursing program accredited by CCNE or ACEN. BSN required; master’s degree preferred. Clinical certification preferred or required to obtain within two (2) years. Current license to practice nursing in the State of Ohio. Experience & Training Required Three (3) years of clinical nursing experience with demonstrated leadership qualities. Promote the nursing professional practice model within organizational policies and nursing standards of practice. Interact effectively with patients/customers, respecting their self‑respect and dignity. Maintain professional certification in nursing administration or a clinical area. Meet mandatory educational and health requirements. Continuously seek new knowledge related to patient care issues, quality improvement, and cost reduction. Demonstrate required computer skills for job functions. Level of Physical Demands Heavy: Exert 50‑100 pounds of force occasionally, 25‑50 pounds frequently, or 10‑20 pounds continuously to move objects.
