Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a MS/Tele position requiring a NY license in hand and EPIC charting experience.

Details

• Work in the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele) unit of a hospital setting
• Alternating 4x12-hour Day and Night shifts (7:00 AM-7:00 PM and 7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required
• Uses cardiac monitoring equipment and manages/interprets dysrhythmias
• Involves IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care
• Includes respiratory support such as nasal cannula and oxygen administration
• Participates in Rapid Response/Code team activities

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required in hand
• Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele nursing experience required
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• ACLS certification required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Experience with isolation precautions and PPE required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit, including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Perform interpretation and management of dysrhythmias as part of daily responsibilities
• Utilize non-invasive airway management techniques and oxygen therapy as needed
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be considered
• Cannot have more than 10 days of requested time off (RTO) for consideration
• Previous employees may be considered after a 6-month system-wide waiting period
