Field Service Technician, Tucson, AZ

Sandvik Mining is seeking a Field Service Technician to work in the Tucson, AZ area. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical aspects of underground mining equipment, as well as new equipment commissioning and training at customer sites. Responsibilities Repair mechanical and electrical components of underground mining equipment. Commission new equipment and provide training to customers. Inspect equipment for performance, determine faults and malfunctions. Adjust equipment and replace defective parts or systems according to scopes of work. Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operational performance. Complete accurate time records, technical reports, failure reports, and parts lists. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Stay current with industry, customer, product developments and technical best practices. Build strong relationships with internal and external customers for smooth operations and satisfaction. Maintain compliance with Sandvik, customer, state, and federal safety policies. Work underground and surface conditions, willing to travel approximately 50% of the time. Qualifications Technical certification or diploma in mechanical or electrical fields or equivalent years of professional technical experience. Minimum 7 years industry‑related experience, including diesel and high‑voltage electrical experience. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and equipment schematics. Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem‑solving skills. Strong communication skills and success in team environments. Self‑motivated, customer‑focused with a safety champion attitude. Comfortable working alone, wet, confined, and underground. Work authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without employer sponsorship. Benefits Competitive wages of $35.00 to $45.00 per hour.
