Solutions Architect (SAP S/4HANA Finance Solution Architect

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance Solution Architect to lead the design, architecture, and configuration of enterprise finance solutions. This role is ideal for a strategic SAP finance professional who can guide global transformation efforts, support finance modernization, and help shape scalable, compliant, and maintainable solutions.
Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture for SAP S/4HANA Finance initiatives, from future-state design through delivery and support.
• Define finance operating models using SAP leading practices and standard functionality wherever possible.
• Design solutions aligned with clean core principles to support scalability, maintainability, and long-term system health.
• Provide guidance on finance transformation, ERP modernization, and process redesign across core finance areas.
• Serve as a functional architecture lead for general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting, cost and profit center accounting, internal orders, project accounting, revenue recognition, consolidation, and financial reporting.
• Lead governance for SAP S/4HANA Finance configuration, including ledger design, company codes, chart of accounts, fiscal year variants, posting controls, financial statement versions, costing structures, parallel accounting, and universal journal design.
• Review functional specifications, configuration documents, and solution designs to ensure consistency and quality across deployments.
• Shape reporting and analytics solutions that support statutory, regulatory, management, and operational needs.
• Partner with finance leaders, enterprise architects, data migration teams, integration teams, security teams, and delivery partners to align business goals with technical solutions.
• Support all project phases, including design, build, testing, deployment, cutover, and hypercare.
• Guide testing strategy, resolve defects, and help ensure production readiness.
• Mentor consultants, analysts, and functional leads while supporting strong solution governance.

Skills

• 10+ years of SAP Finance consulting experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a SAP Finance lead or solution architect role.
• Hands-on expertise with SAP S/4HANA Finance, including FI, CO, universal journal, asset accounting, project systems, revenue recognition, margin analysis, group reporting, and financial close processes.
• Strong knowledge of record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, financial planning and analysis, and project financials.
• Experience leading multiple end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation programs.
• Proven ability to support global finance transformation initiatives.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence senior business and technology leaders.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience working directly with finance leadership and CFO organizations.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud configuration and organizational design concepts.
• Experience with SAP Embedded Analytics and SAP Analytics Cloud.
• Background in financial reporting structures and controls.
• Familiarity with professional services finance operations.
• Experience supporting treasury and cash management processes.
• Ability to facilitate executive workshops and present recommendations to governance forums.
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills for supporting project teams.
• Comfort working in a collaborative environment with a focus on inclusion, respect, and shared success.
