FT Athletic Trainer - Orthopedics, Sewell/Moorestown

Location Sewell – 570 Egg Harbor Road. Additional location: Moorestown – 300 West Route 38. Position Summary Under the supervision of the designated supervisor, the Athletic Trainer performs duties associated with direct patient care and clinical direction. The trainer ensures the completeness of ordered procedures and treatments, smooth patient flow, instructs patients about procedures and treatments, and ensures medical orders are carried out accurately and promptly. Position Responsibilities Prepares patient for exam by obtaining and documenting vital signs, chief complaint and history of present illnesses, and prepares patient for provider exam. Provides patient education on their diagnosis and demonstrates home exercise programs. Screens and directs patient calls according to established protocol. Contacts patients about prescriptions and testing results as directed by and under the physician’s supervision. Performs daily regulatory testing as required and documents accordingly, to ensure that clinical equipment is accurate and compliant. Maintains par level of clinical supplies for facility. Position Qualifications 1 year experience preferred. Required Education Graduate of an accredited Athletic Training Program with a Bachelor’s degree prior to the fall of 2022; a Master’s degree required thereafter. Training/Certifications/Licensure Must have fulfilled all requirements of the NATA Board of Certification Inc. exam and state licensure or regulation as determined by the State of New Jersey. CPR/BLS Certification. Compensation Hourly Rate: $24.51 – $36.89 (actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience, internal equity, and market data).
