Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join a busy warehouse team. This position is responsible for receiving, inspecting, verifying, documenting, and organizing incoming shipments while maintaining accurate inventory records.

The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working with computers and shipping documents, and able to work independently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and process incoming shipments and deliveries
• Verify quantities, item numbers, and product descriptions against purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices
• Inspect shipments for damage, shortages, or incorrect items
• Report discrepancies or receiving issues to management
• Enter receiving information accurately into inventory or warehouse management systems
• Label, organize, and properly store incoming merchandise and materials
• Maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory transactions
• Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and other departments regarding deliveries
• Prepare and process receiving paperwork and documentation
• Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area
• Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse policies
• Perform additional warehouse and receiving duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous warehouse, receiving, inventory, or shipping experience preferred
• Basic computer and data-entry skills
• Ability to read and understand purchase orders and shipping documents
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Forklift experience or certification is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday
• Ability to safely lift and move boxes and materials as required
• Comfortable working in a warehouse/receiving environment
