Devereux Florida Health provides services for children and families in the child welfare system to ensure a community without abuse, neglect and abandonment, so all children can grow to their full potential. As a Case Manager in the Sarasota Pilot Program, you will coordinate and oversee services to support individuals and families with a primary focus on ensuring safety, stability, and permanency. You will consistently engage with children, foster parents, biological families, and service providers to assess needs, ensure additional services are in place, monitor progress, and communicate with all parties. Key responsibilities include: Facilitating access to necessary services (medical, educational, behavioral health) while maintaining accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory requirements. Advocating for the child’s best interests and ensuring decisions promote well‑being and permanency outcomes. Communicating and collaborating regularly with multidisciplinary teams (therapists, supervisors, community partners) to address barriers and support placement stability. Preparing any necessary reports and maintaining case records. Participating in on‑call rotations and supervising visits when required. Position Details Salary: Starts at $24.04–$27.41 / hr (rate based on education and experience). Schedule: Full time. Location: Hybrid; in‑office and community‑based coverage in Sarasota, DeSoto, and Manatee counties, with additional counties as needed. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in human services, criminology, juvenile justice, psychology, sociology, counseling, special education, education, human development, child development, family development, marriage and family therapy, or nursing is required. A Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field is preferred. Experience: Full Florida Board Certification in Child Welfare Case Management is required. Two years of experience working with children, adolescents and families is strongly preferred. Strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and the ability to manage complex cases are essential. Demonstrated professionalism, cultural competency, and a commitment to a trauma‑informed, strengths‑based approach are required. Other Requirements Valid Florida Driver’s License. Participation in on‑call rotation. Successful completion of pre‑employment medical screenings, including drug and TB tests.
