Registered Nurse (RN) - Float Pool

Registered Nurse (RN) – Unit Full‑Time 0.9 FTE – 12‑hour overnight shifts. Sign‑on bonus: $7,500 (based on eligibility). Overview UP Health System – Marquette is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. The role requires a Registered Nurse to staff med/surg, neuro/ortho/peds, rehab, and cardiac units. After one year in the staffing pool, nurses may advance to specialty units such as ICU and ED. Responsibilities Perform plan‑of‑care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care. Document patient care provided. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families. Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, referrals, and psychosocial support. Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or families and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient. One year of nursing experience preferred. Additional Requirements Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS‑HCP).
