Aerotek is seeking a Safety Coordinator:
Job Description
Join a dynamic fiberglass pipe manufacturing company located in Spring, TX, as an in-house HSE Specialist. This role involves conducting daily routine walk-throughs on the production floor to ensure compliance with safety protocols. Responsibilities include verifying that employees and contractors have the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel toes, and hard hats, ensuring proper labeling of chemicals, and checking airlines. Collaborate closely with third-party health and safety advisors and assist with monthly random walk-throughs. You will develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs aligned with OSHA, ISO, and other relevant regulations. Additionally, investigate accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions, while maintaining accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training.
Responsibilities

• Conduct daily routine walk-throughs on the production floor.
• Ensure employees and contractors have proper PPE.
• Ensure chemicals are labeled correctly.
• Check airlines for compliance.
• Collaborate with third-party health and safety advisors.
• Assist with monthly random walk-throughs.
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs aligned with OSHA and ISO standards.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes.
• Implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, inspections, and training.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years' experience as an HSE Coordinator/Specialist.
• 3+ years' experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in in-house inspections and walk-throughs.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Hazard Control Manager (CHCM) designation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• OSHA 30 certification.
• CPR and first aid certification.
• 40-hour OSHA certificate.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience in safety training and safety procedures.

Work Environment
Work in a non-climate controlled fiberglass manufacturing facility where the production floor can be hot. The schedule is Monday to Friday, with shifts ranging from 10 to 12 hours starting at 5 am. There may be occasional work on Sundays and surprise night shift check-ins once or twice a month.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spring, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
