AE - Merchandising Team Leader (Assistant Manager)

YOUR ROLE As the full‑time Merchandising Team Leader, you are the Store Team Leader's "go‑to" in developing and implementing merchandising strategy for the store. Your passion lies in training and coaching your team into great merchants delivering AEO brand visual standards every day. Through your leadership, the team nails floor‑set execution and maintains merchandising and marketing brand standards. You ensure the store is always "guest ready" through effective replenishment and represent our company values, bringing your REAL self to work every day. Your Responsibilities Drive sales as a key LOD (Leader on Duty), maximizing fitting‑room and sales floor productivity and building guest loyalty through a best‑in‑class experience. Contribute to the overall financial success by analyzing reporting and daily trends, and help develop short‑ and long‑term business plans to drive key KPIs. Act as a merchandising innovator: coach your team to deliver an outstanding guest experience, ensure the store stays representative of AEO brand standards, lead day‑to‑day merchandising, sell‑through adjustments and replenishment, and develop actionable plans to capitalize on merchandising opportunities. Serve as a people leader: motivate and inspire your team through AEO's core values, and hold them accountable to high customer‑service standards on the sales floor and in the fitting room. Recruit and hire strong talent and prioritize training and development to ensure the team can provide outstanding service. Provide ongoing performance feedback, coaching, and performance reviews, and drive associate engagement by celebrating outstanding performance. Operate as an operational innovator: execute and improve daily operational procedures, maintain visual standards throughout the store, and keep fitting rooms guest‑ready and brand compliant. Maintain integrity by upholding store safety, asset protection, and all AEO policies and procedures. You'd Be Great for This Role If You love AE & Aerie products. Pay and Benefits Information Actual starting pay is determined by relevant experience and location.
