Compensation & Schedule Hourly Pay: $37.45–$44.95 per hour based on previous work experience plus a $2.25 per hour night‑shift differential. Schedule: FULL‑TIME NIGHT SHIFT 6:00 pm – 6:00 am Thursday, Friday & Saturday, then every other Sunday 10:00 pm – 6:00 am. The RN will also assume “Building Charge” duties as directed by the DON or designee. Qualifications Current licensure in Colorado as a Registered Nurse Valid CPR certification Maintenance of required CEU’s Experience in long‑term care preferred Good problem‑solving skills with independence and initiative Demonstrated leadership ability Effective communication with staff, families and outside agencies Ability to prioritize duties Customer‑service orientation with knowledge of successful techniques Clinical competence to perform physical and cognitive assessments of residents Proficiency with computers and electronic documentation tools Team‑player mindset Understanding of antibiotic stewardship, infection prevention, infection control and OSHA guidelines Essential Functions Provides leadership and direction on the assigned unit. Models positive communication skills with NA/Rs, CNAs, STNAs, TMAs (if applicable), interdisciplinary team, supervisory and management team, customers, residents and families. Listens to shift reports and maintains open communication with supervisor, co‑workers and incoming shift. Routinely conducts rounds to assess residents’ physical and psychosocial status. Allocates personnel to meet resident needs and ensures assignments are followed. Attends scheduled or assigned nurse and team meetings. Initiates disciplinary action when performance warrants. Reports occupational exposures to needlesticks, blood, body fluids, infectious materials or hazardous chemicals per facility policy. Submits concerns or improvement suggestions to facility leadership and the QAA/QAPI committee. Resident Care Functions Maintains competency in all required skills within the assigned area(s). Treats residents with respect and dignity. Immediately reports any suspected abuse or neglect per company policy. Performs nursing techniques for residents’ comfort and well‑being. Administers prescribed medications and treatments per MD orders. Monitors drug responses, side effects, and communicates concerns to physicians. Maintains accurate, timely documentation per facility policies. Follows shift routines, monitoring vital signs, weights, medication administration and treatments. Makes provider calls to report changes in resident condition. Keeps resident representatives and families updated on resident conditions. Complies with acute emergency protocols and 911 response procedures. Follows Advance Directives: DNR/DNI/CPR/Comfort Care protocols and orders. Charting, Documentation and Assessment Functions Contributes to completing and updating resident care plans. Evaluates and reports the performance of all staff under supervision. Performs routine charting duties in accordance with established policies. Accurately transcribes physician/provider orders and forwards necessary information. Documents and reports all incidents, accidents involving residents, visitors and staff. Charts nursing notes in an informative and descriptive manner reflecting care provided and resident response. Utilizes E‑Interact COC & Care Paths for changes in condition. Personnel Functions Attends scheduled nursing meetings. Maintains a clean, safe and efficient work environment. Meets continuing education requirements. Initiates disciplinary action when warranted. Participates in employee performance evaluations, staffing recommendations and counseling discussions. Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with inter‑departmental personnel. Attends required in‑services and completes assigned online modules. Committee Functions Serves on, participates in and attends various facility committees to enhance interdisciplinary processes. Other duties as assigned. Experience & Qualifications Preferred: Long‑term care experience. Required: Technical or other training or better in nursing. Required certifications: Registered Nurse license. Preferred certifications: CPR/First Aid.
