Night Shuttle Driver, Guest Services @ Bandon Dunes Golf Resort

Job Description

Job Description

Not a morning person? Good. We’re looking for someone who comes alive in the afternoon and evening. As a Night Shuttle Driver at Bandon Dunes, you’ll keep the resort moving as the sun sets over the Pacific, driving guests to dinner, back to their lodges, and everywhere in between. Your mornings are your own, and your evenings are spent making someone’s trip of a lifetime a little easier.

This position will work 4, 10 hour shifts. Times will be between 1:00 pm and 1:00 am.

About Bandon Dunes Golf Resort:

Bandon Dunes is a world-class golf resort located on the Oregon Coast near the charming community of Bandon. Guests come to experience golf as it was meant to be at Bandon Dunes' six distinct golf courses. That includes five 18-hole courses, which all rank among the top 16 public courses in the United States, according to Golf Digest. The resort is also home to two 'Courses with a Mission': Bandon Preserve, an award-winning par-3 course, and Shorty's, which opened in 2024. All net proceeds from both courses fund the Bandon Dunes Charitable Foundation, supporting communities along the South Coast of Oregon.

Beyond premier golf, guests delight in a variety of dining options at Bandon Dunes’ collection of restaurants. Whether you're looking to enjoy locally-sourced, Pacific-Northwest cuisine accompanied by an award-winning wine list or prefer kicking back in a Scottish-style setting with traditional pub fare and local microbrews, there is something for everyone.

Working at Bandon Dunes is a dream for golf fans, outdoor enthusiasts, and hospitality professionals alike. The Bandon Dunes team works together to create trips of a lifetime for our guests. We are passionate stewards of our resort, community, and environment. As an endlessly curious group, we ask questions, share ideas, and always look for a better way. With a hard-working attitude, we help guide our guests through their pure golf experience, immersed in Oregon’s natural beauty and away from the demands of daily life.

What You'll Do:

• Get everyone where they're going, safely: Drive guests and team members between lodges, golf courses, restaurants, and other resort locations, following every traffic law and resort safety practice along the way.
• Make the first and last impression count: Greet every guest warmly and professionally. For many, you're the welcome at the start of the evening and the goodnight at the end of it.
• Handle their gear like it's your own: Load and unload luggage, golf bags, and belongings with care so everything arrives at the right place.
• Be the local expert: Answer questions and give directions about the resort, its amenities, and the Bandon area, helping guests get the most out of their stay.
• Keep your shuttle guest-ready: Inspect your vehicle before and after every shift, keep it clean and fueled, and promptly report any accidents, safety concerns, or mechanical issues to the Guest Services Manager.
• Keep things moving as a team: Stay in touch with Guest Services, Golf Operations, and other departments by radio and phone to coordinate pick-ups and keep transportation running smoothly.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

• You're a safe, confident driver: You hold a valid Oregon driver's license with a clean driving record that meets our safety guidelines, and you're at least 18 years old.
• You love making people feel welcome: You communicate clearly and courteously, and you bring a positive attitude and professional appearance to every interaction.
• You stay cool when plans change: Schedules shift and requests stack up. You stay calm, adapt, and keep service front and center.
• You work well on your own: You can manage your route and priorities with minimal supervision while staying connected to the team.
• Experience is a bonus, not a must: Hospitality, customer service, or professional driving experience is helpful, but we provide on-the-job training.

A Few Things to Know:

• Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts between 1:00 pm and 1:00 am, including weekends and holidays based on guest and operational needs.
• Night driving: You'll spend extended time driving on resort roads and public roadways, often after dark and in coastal weather conditions like rain, wind, and fog.
• Working conditions: Work is both indoors and outdoors in all weather. You may be exposed to vehicle fumes, traffic hazards, moving golf carts and maintenance equipment, and errant golf balls.
• Physical demands: Stand, sit, walk, reach, bend, and kneel for up to 5 hours at a time, enter and exit the vehicle repeatedly throughout your shift, lift and carry 20–30 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally with assistance.
• Communication: Must be able to communicate in English, verbally and in writing, including over two-way radio, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Screening: Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and a driving record review.

Perks and Benefits for Full Time Employees:

• Comprehensive Benefits Package: Enjoy a well-rounded benefits package that covers your health, wellness, and financial future.
• Paid Time Off: Take the time you need to relax and recharge with our PTO plan.
• Free Golf Privileges: Tee off at some of the most iconic courses in the world with complimentary golf access.
• Quarterly Incentives: When our team meets resort-wide performance goals, we get rewarded.
• Complimentary Lunch: Stay energized with a complimentary lunch in our Staff Cafe during your shift.
• Resort Discounts: Save on dining and merchandise throughout the resort.
• Supportive Work Environment: Be part of a team that supports your growth and success, with opportunities to thrive in a collaborative atmosphere.
• Career Growth: Take advantage of continuous training and development opportunities to advance your career.
