Job Title

Registered Nurse – ICU Float Pool

Location

Augusta, GA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to an adult and geriatric population across multiple inpatient units including ICU, Neuro ICU, CVICU, PCU, MS, and MS/Tele
• Float primarily within ICU settings, with the ability to float to all MS, MS/Tele, PCU, and ICU units within the facility as needed
• Maintain safe patient ratios appropriate to unit assignment (1:2–3 ICU; 1:4–5 PCU; 1:5–6 MS/MS Tele)
• Utilize facility electronic health record and medication dispensing systems accurately and efficiently
• Adhere to scheduling requirements including every-other-weekend rotation and holiday coverage expectations per contract terms

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in Georgia or a Compact state
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
• Proficiency with Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR communication framework
• Willingness and ability to float across multiple unit types as assigned

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a float pool or multi-unit setting
• Familiarity with critical care diagnoses including cardiovascular and neurological conditions
• Experience working in a high-acuity hospital environment with diverse patient populations
